- Clothes too hard
- Too much detergent being used and not fully rinsing out. Clothes go hard once dry. Use less detergent. To remove excess detergent from clothes, wash without detergent and use a water softener eg Calgon. Use only a low suds detergent suitable for front loaders.
Clothes over dried on line or in dryer. Shorten drying time.
- Clothes wet at end of program
- Pump blocked not allowing all the water to drain. Clean out pump guard.
Outlet / drain hose kinked not allowing all the water to be pumped out. Check for kinked hoses.
Too many suds causing motor to overheat. There may be a burning smell as well. Use less detergent. If doing another load allow 20 minutes before starting to let motor cool down.

- Conditioner has not dispensed - conditioner still in detergent drawer
- Cap in conditioner compartment requires cleaning. The conditioner is dispensed via a syphoning action so if builds up occurs under the cap syphoning will not work. Remove cap and clean as per instruction book.
- Cycle / program taking too long
- Filters blocked slowing the water entry. Machine will take longer than normal to fill. Clean filters in the inlet hoses.
Out of balance load. The washing machine may be trying to re-balance the load. This will increase the cycle time, resulting in a longer cycle than normal.

Pump blocked not allowing the water to drain quick enough. Clean out pump guard.
Compared to top load washers program times are longer. Times are longer to allow wash loads to be washed to the same or better standard than top load machines using less water, making them more efficient.
- Dirty wash - stains
- Not enough or no detergent. Check amount of detergent used and rewash clothes accordingly.
Too many clothes in load. Remove some clothes and rewash.
Incorrect wash program or temperature selected. Reselect program and or temperature and rewash clothes.
- Door will not open / can't open door
- All front load washers have a safety lock on the door which will not allow the door to be opened during the cycle. Some only lock when the water is too high or too hot. When the program has finished it may take up to 2 minutes for the safety lock to reset before the door can be opened. If you want to open the door during the wash program refer to the user manual.
- Filling and emptying immediately - not commencing cycle
- If outlet hose is lower than the water level on machine the water will continue to syphon / run out of hose on fill cycle. Move hose to top of the machine. Refer to user manual.
- Lint on clothes
- Mixed load. Refer to user manual for the correct procedure for sorting loads.
- Not advancing - will not finish program

- Cannot see water in washing machine
- It is not always possible to see the water in new water efficient front loaders when there is a load in the drum. On some programs the water level is below the level of the door so cannot be seen when the machine is loaded.
- Not filling - water escaping without commencing wash

- Not spinning

Ensure water taps are turned on.
Ensure machine power button has been switched on.
Delay start may be set (if available). Cancel delay start.
- Too many suds / bubbles
- Wrong detergent used. Use a low suds detergent suitable for front loaders.
Too much detergent used. Use no more than the recommended amount. This is especially important with concentrates.
Soft water supply. Reduce the amount of detergent.
- Vibrating - moving across floor
- Machine not level. Adjust levelling legs.
Are the transport rods and / or packing removed? Remove transport rods from the back of the machine and packing from under the machine.
Floor too slippery eg high gloss tiles. Contact Spare Parts on 13 13 50 and request Non Slip Discs (Part NÂș 8000777477).
Machine is installed on an unstable floor eg wooden floor. Move the machine to a more stable location or have the floor modified.
